Let’s look at the geological layers

Geological layers visible in cliffs and other exposed areas provide valuable insights into the Earth’shistory.
While Ogata Village lacks natural sites where these layers can be directly observed, digging into the ground reveals the rock strata on the walls of the hole.
Because the hole tends to collapse quickly, the layers can be preserved by carefully scraping the walls and creating a sample.
The steps for this process are shown in the photo on the left.
1.Dig a hole in the ground.
2.Apply glue to the hole and cover them with fabric.
3.Once the glue has dried, carefully peel off the fabric.
