The Lakebed Soil of Ogata Village
The lakebed soil consists of very fine particles, making it highly absorbent and sticky.
It is mainly composed of montmorillonite, a type of clay particle.
Outside of the central area of Ogata Village, the lakebed soil extends across the northeastern to southeastern regions.
Particularly in the southern part, the soil reaches significant depths, with the deepest point measuring up to 55 meters.
